Brady's Baptism

It was a big day in Brady's life...he became a child of the Lord. Brady was baptized on May 16, 2010 at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Charlotte, NC. His family came from all over the nation (Seattle, Appleton, Chicago, and Charlotte) to help celebrate his special day. His Godparents, Sarah (Matt's sister) and Craig (Matt's identical twin) stood with us during this lengthy process (over an hour). Poor Brady had to be held the entire time. Now, we understand why it's so important to baptize your child in the first few months of life. Mommy, Daddy and Brady waiting before Brady's baptism.

Brady's First Swim Lesson

What a way to start the day our first day back! Brady had his first swim lesson today with Daddy, and let me tell you, it was much different than the bathtub. In the beginning of the lesson, Brady was a bit cautious and apprehensive, but toward the end he was loving it! He was really excited to stand on the edge of the pool; however, he was very cautious when it came time to jump into Daddy's arms. At the end of the lesson, Daddy took Brady to the baby pool and let Brady play with the other kids, this by far, was his favorite part of the day.

Brady Loves California!

What a whirlwind of a week! Brady and Mommy were very busy visiting family and friends in California, and of course, very busy with shopping! Our trip was over like a blink of an eye. We were sad to leave, but there's nothing like home (especially your own bed).

Brady fell in love with the warm California sun, and grandma Tammy's backyard. Every morning Brady opened the door to Grandma's patio area and started playing in the water. He really enjoyed the water hose and the dog pan.

One day the weather was gloomy, and we met my cousin, Christie, and her son, Derek Jr., at Go Bananas (an indoor jumpy house). The boys had a blast, and so did Mommy and Christie. The boys were able to run free, climb, jump and slide all by themselves.
